Dear CDSBEO Elementary Families,
The CDSBEO is looking forward to welcoming students back to in-person, face to face learning this September! We recognize that in-person learning, where students are back in the classroom, engaged in meaningful learning opportunities with their teachers and peers is the optimal model for student achievement.
As we prepare for Term 1 - September 7, 2021 to February 4, 2022, of the new school year, The CDSBEO acknowledges that in certain situations, some students/families may need to consider an alternative learning method for health and safety reasons. In order to accommodate exceptional circumstances, the CDSBEO is considering offering two (2) elementary (Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8) modes of learning for Term 1 - September 7, 2021 to February 4, 2022.
Two modes of learning include:
- Face-to-Face, In-Person Learning
- Virtual Learning Elementary School
We ask that parents/guardians of elementary (Kindergarten to Grade 8) students complete the survey. A separate survey for each child in your household is required. If a response is not received for your child/children by the deadline, the CDSBEO will consider your child/children as attending face-to-face, in-person learning for Term 1, effective September 7, 2021.
The survey deadline is Thursday, August 12th by 4:00 p.m. This is a firm deadline. No changes or late responses will be accepted after the deadline.
